The EVO Motorsport Fiesta EVO X

Designed to meet Motorsport UK’s CAT2 Regulations.  The car uses Mitsubishi Exo X running gear, has the power and look of an R5 Fiesta but the running costs of a Gp.N / R4 car.

The Spec

ENGINE:

Mitsubishi Evo X 2.0 litre turbo with 34mm restrictor.  Forged pistons, H-beam con-rods and racing camshafts. Owen Performance GTX2860 turbo with a Turbo Smart WG45 remote waste gate control and BOV.  Custom tubular exhaust manifold with 3” stainless exhaust system and FIA Cat.  Mapped for 99 Octane or ELF racing fuel.

310 BHP / 570 Nm

TRANSMISSION:

Drenth 6 speed flat shift sequential gearbox with rod type gear linkage.   Mitsubishi Evo X active centre diff with Motec adjustable pressure control, front and rear Ralliart LSD’s.  Heavy duty twin disc racing clutch and flywheel.

SUSPENSION:

Exe-TC Dampers.  Front McPherson strut / Rear coil over shock, all 4-way adjustable.  Mitsubishi R4 sub-frames and fully adjustable rose jointed arms and links.

STEERING:

Hydraulic power assisted quick steering rack with MoTec steering angle sensor.

BRAKES:

Brembo forged 4-piston front and rear brake calipers with vented brake discs with Tarmac 355mm and Gravel 300mm options.  AP adjustable floor mounted pedal box, AP vertical hydraulic handbrake and master cylinder.  

BODYSHELL:

Fully seam welded Ford Fiesta bodyshell with original floor pan and bulkhead.  Motorsport UK approved roll cage with National ASN CAT 2 homologation. Roll cage and bodywork broadly based on Fiesta R5.  R5-look carbon fibre rear spoiler and roof vent.

ELECTRONICS:

MoTec M150 ECU with built in ACD controller.  MoTec C125 dash, bespoke motorsport lightweight wiring loom with PDM15 power distribution.    8 button programmable keypad steering wheel and 15 button programmable centre keypad panel.

FUEL SYSTEM:

AFS 80-litre FIA homologated fuel cell with internal fuel collector.  Walbro high flow fuel pump.  Lightweight fuel lines with aluminium fittings.  FIA quick release re-fuelling dry brakes and fuel sampling take off.

COOLING SYSTEM:

Front custom cooling bar package.  Mishimoto radiator with twin high flow fans.  Mitsubishi intercooler and Mocal Laminova oil cooler.

BODYWORK / PROTECTION:

Fully guarded underbody protection with 8mm engine, 6mm prop and diff guards
